Join the History Liaison in welcoming members of the Mary Eliza Project, an initiative started with the help of funds from Simmons University and the City of Boston that works to digitize Boston women's voting registers in 1920, following the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Their work also disrupts the narrative that women's suffrage was primarily the domain of upper-class white women by publicizing the stories of the trailblazing working-class, non-white, and immigrant women who were among the first to claim their right to vote in 1920's Boston.

Members of the Mary Eliza Project will share some of the amazing work that they have done, and then event participants will be welcomed to engage with and explore the datasets that have been created by the Mary Eliza team.

Light refreshments will be served, and the event will be ADA accessible and available over Zoom!
Food Provided (Coffee, tea, and some cookies!)
