Mission
Active Minds is an extremely important organization that should be implemented
throughout the Simmons community. A chapter of the National Active Minds
organization, Simmons Active Minds will provide valuable resources to the
community that will advocate for mental health awareness and education. By
advocating for a more thorough understanding of mental illness, we can help
create a community that is free of stigma and misinformation surrounding mental
illness. Following this, we can also help students learn how to better care for their
mental health in order to better combat mental illness early on before it takes a
large toll on the student. Active Minds will be a positive and prominent support
on campus for students and faculty alike.
